Why the Hole Pattern Matters
The traditional moka filter uses a few holes around 0.8mm wide. Under pressure, that opening is large enough to let hot water surge unevenly through the coffee cake, pulling fine particles and harsh flavour compounds into the pot. This filter uses many more holes, each just 0.2mm across, spreading water flow evenly and gently across the whole bed.
